It is never too late to make or change your Will. Leaving a gift in your Will doesn’t cost you a penny now, but could make an enormous difference for thousands of families in the future. Supporting a cause that is so close to your heart in this way, is one of the easiest and best decisions your family can make.
Legacies to charities are tax free, so leaving a gift to the NMH Foundation can help reduce the tax payable on your estate.
It is very easy to leave the NMH Foundation a gift in your Will. You will simply need the following information for your solicitor:
- NMH Foundation, National Maternity Hospital, Holles Street, Dublin 2, D02YH21
- Charity number: CHY20389
- Registered Charity Number: CRA 20080891
The most usual gifts are:
- A sum of money, which can be any sum of money that suits your circumstances.
- A percentage of the value of your estate - this is formally called a residuary gift. It can be from 1% to 100% of your estate - whatever suits your own circumstances. Just 1% would be a fabulous gift to help women and babies at The National Maternity Hospital.
